In 2025, The Hague hosted the inaugural European Defence Innovation Forum (EDIF), a high-level platform where defence innovation, strategic policy and industrial collaboration converge to address Europe’s evolving security landscape. Unlike traditional conferences, EDIF brought together industry leaders, government officials, investors and frontline innovators to explore battlefield-tested technologies, dual-use solutions and practical paths toward joint production and operational deployment. The forum was designed as a results-oriented meeting with a strong emphasis on real-world impact and strategic resilience.

Commissioned by media partner Veteranen TV & Radio, we were asked to deliver end-to-end video support for the event. Within a demanding three-week timeframe we produced a teaser, social media content, LED screen advertising videos and the official opening film for the forum. Each piece was created to reflect EDIF’s mission: to accelerate collaboration, bridge gaps between innovation and execution, and spotlight technologies ready for European production.

Our production included on-site visits with multiple EDIF partners for short interview segments, bringing personal and organisational perspectives to the screen. We spoke with representatives from Arctus, DeltaQuad, Intelic, the Ukrainian Embassy in the Netherlands and VN Strategies, capturing not only their goals for the forum but also their shared commitment to strengthening European defence innovation. Handling sensitive subject matter with care, our approach balanced discretion with impactful storytelling, ensuring that all public material remained compelling while respecting the strategic nature of the event.

The final body of work delivers a cohesive narrative that mirrors the forum’s themes of collaboration, innovation and strategic autonomy, showcasing how EDIF connects people, ideas and technologies to shape the future of defence.
